Lombard International invests $100m in emerging hedge fund manager platform

Worth Venture Partners, an emerging manager hedge fund platform headquartered in Manhattan, has announced an investment by Lombard International in a diversified portfolio of emerging hedge fund strategies, the WVP Emerging Manager Onshore Fund.

Lombard initiated the relationship with a $100 million investment across multiple managers. Lydian Advisory Group also worked with Worth and Lombard to structure the initial investment.

David Wertentheil, partner and co-founder of Worth, commented "We are excited to be an alternative emerging manager solution for Lombard. Our strategies support diversification of returns while meeting the wealth planning needs of their sophisticated client base through insurance-based structures." The WVP Emerging Manager Onshore Fund currently offers access to more than 15 managers through custom portfolios with a diverse alternative investment menu primarily focused on market neutral, volatility, equity long/short and event driven strategies with US and international exposure.
