K&L Gates adds asset management partner

Saturday, May 31, 2025
Opalesque Industry Update - Global law firm K&L Gates welcomes Eusapia Simone as a partner in its Asset Management and Investment Funds practice.

Simone's practice focuses primarily on fund formation and investment management across various asset classes including real estate, infrastructure, private equity, venture capital, and credits. She has extensive experience assisting both fund managers and institutional investors, particularly in fund structuring authorization procedures and special transactions.

Simone regularly advises clients regarding compliance matters, corporate governance, internal control systems, internal policies and procedures, including those concerning the remuneration and incentives schemes, as well as ESG topics.

In addition, Simone has a deep understanding of the banking and finance sectors, with experience in assisting banks, electronic money institutions, payment institutions, financial brokers and, more generally, monitored bodies.

Michael Caccese, K&L Gates chairman and a leader of the firm's global Asset Management and Investment Funds practice area, stated: "We are thrilled to have Eusapia join our global team. Our clients in Milan and across Europe will benefit from her extensive experience in a variety of key industry sectors."

"We're delighted to welcome Eusapia, whose capabilities and skillset complement our cross-practice offering to the firm's clients active in the asset management industry," said Giampaolo Salsi, managing partner of K&L Gates' Milan office.

The addition of Simone follows the arrival of broker-dealer partner Derek Lacarrubba (New York), former CFTC lawyer Sarah Riddell (Chicago), and investment funds partner Jason Nelms (Singapore) to the Asset Management and Investment Funds practice since the beginning of last year. In 2024, the firm's Milan office expanded its Finance practice with the addition of partner Chiara Anceschi and her team.
