Resonanz Capital launches first UCITS liquid alternatives fund

Tuesday, April 29, 2025
Opalesque Industry Update - Resonanz Capital announced the launch of the Resonanz Jazz Multi-Strategy Fund ("Jazz"), an innovative UCITS-compliant Liquid Alternatives solution that blends quantitative investment strategies (QIS) with the expertise of leading external managers. The fund debuts with €206 million in assets under management.

"Jazz bridges the gap between the complexity of multi-manager hedge funds and the governance, cost, and liquidity standards professional investors expect under UCITS," said Vincent Weber, CEO of Resonanz Capital. "Our open-architecture approach enables us to source best-in-class investment strategies and specialist managers globally, while our proprietary analytics platform continuously optimizes allocations."

A proven approach, now available in UCITS format

Resonanz Capital's team brings more than two decades of experience managing multi-manager hedge fund portfolios in offshore structures, with a focus on strategic breadth, risk-conscious portfolio construction, and active management.

While institutional investors are increasingly turning to UCITS, they often face structural hurdles. The available universe is narrow, and although QIS solutions have proliferated, many offerings remain complex, opaque, and difficult to harness efficiently. Allocators frequently struggle with unstable performance, fragmented strategy options, and governance models that impede dynamic allocation.

"This is a structural gap that Jazz is designed to address," said Iliyan Iliev, COO of Resonanz Capital. "Even sophisticated professional UCITS investors often lack the resources, tools, and governance frameworks required for robust, actively managed alternative portfolios. Jazz is the missing link-leveraging our offshore expertise and tailoring it to the demands of today's professional UCITS market."

Built for the modern institutional investor

Jazz is designed for institutional investors seeking to build a liquid, diversified core alternatives portfolio. It also offers compelling solutions for asset managers looking for scalable alternative allocations, allocators seeking liquidity complements to illiquid exposures, and QIS users who value structured selection, active portfolio management, and rigorous benchmarking.

Complex architecture, clear design

Jazz simplifies the complexity of alternative investments through:

• Open architecture access to QIS strategies and specialist external managers

• Proprietary AI-driven platform for strategy selection, benchmarking, allocation, and rebalancing

• Daily liquidity, supported by a highly liquid portfolio construction and robust instrument monitoring

• High scalability and capacity

• Competitive, fully transparent fee structure, aligned with UCITS standards

"Jazz brings the same fiduciary mindset, manager selection rigor, and systematic oversight that have been hallmarks of Resonanz Capital's offshore programs-now delivered in a liquid, UCITS-compliant format for professional investors," added Vincent Weber.
