Jason Cope joins Polar Asset Management Partners as head of global fixed income & rates

Opalesque Industry Update - Polar Asset Management Partners Inc., a multi-strategy hedge fund manager based in Toronto, today announced that Jason Cope has joined Polar as Head of Global Fixed Income & Rates. In this role, Mr. Cope's responsibilities will include leading and accelerating the growth of Polar's Rates & Credit strategy business. He will be based in Polar's Toronto office.

Mr. Cope comes to Polar with over two decades of experience developing and leading global credit and fixed income businesses, with an extensive track record in Canada, North America, Europe and Asia. He most recently served as Executive Managing Director and Head of Global Fixed Income at TD Securities, where he led a cross-functional 325-person team, generating substantial annual revenue, and attracted, developed and retained top-tier talent across 11 global offices.

Prior to TD Securities, Mr. Cope was Director, Credit Trading at Scotiabank and Vice President, Credit Trading at RBC Capital Markets. Mr. Cope graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
