Sidley adds M&A partner

Thursday, February 27, 2025
Opalesque Industry Update - Sidley has announced that Andrew Colosimo, Shant Manoukian, and Patrick Greeley have joined Sidley's M&A and Private Equity practice as partners in our office in New York. They join as a team from Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP.

Andrew, Shant, and Patrick represent clients in a variety of asset management M&A-related matters, including seed and stake transactions, the sale or purchase of controlling interests in asset managers, and spin-outs of asset management businesses. Their experience involves negotiating complex governance arrangements and other partnership matters. In addition, the trio advises on a variety of other private equity and M&A-related matters such as acquisitions and dispositions of interests in private companies, joint ventures, recapitalizations, preferred equity transactions, and other general corporate matters. Their clients include numerous financial institutions, private equity firms, and other asset managers.

"Andrew, Shant, and Patrick are great additions to the New York office as we continue to grow our private equity and asset management M&A capabilities," said Yvette Ostolaza, Chair of Sidley's Management Committee. "Our current private equity and financial institution clients will benefit from their extensive experience in asset management M&A."

"Andrew, Shant, and Patrick have worked together closely, and we look forward to integrating them into our larger M&A and PE practice," said Brian Fahrney, chair-elect of Sidley's Executive Committee. "They have relationships with founders and partners of many PE firms and investors who will benefit from Sidley's private equity capabilities."

These new transactional partners join Sidley following the addition of five new M&A and Private Equity partners David Grubman, Adam Cromie, John Godfrey, David D'Urso, and Elazar Guttman, since the beginning of 2024.
