Gatewood launches co-investment and warehousing program to support emerging managers

Thursday, December 12, 2024
Opalesque Industry Update, for New Managers - Gatewood Capital Partners LLC, a seed and anchor investor in emerging managers, has established a Co-Investment and Warehousing Program tailored to emerging managers. This strategic initiative underscores Gatewood's commitment to fostering innovation and growth in the private equity and alternative asset management industry by providing catalytic capital and support to emerging investment managers.

The Co-Investment and Warehousing Program is designed to address the idiosyncratic needs of emerging managers during their formative stages. With customized co-investment capital and warehousing solutions, Gatewood seeks to enable fund managers to seize compelling investment opportunities while simultaneously focusing on launching their inaugural funds. The program is expected to serve as a complement to Gatewood's seeding business, providing managers with the additional resources they require to build successful franchises.

"Our mission and passion at Gatewood has always been empowering emerging managers to succeed in a competitive marketplace," said Oren Monhite Yahav, Managing Partner at Gatewood Capital Partners. "The launch of this program underscores our commitment to the transformative potential of fresh ideas and entrepreneurial talent in the asset management industry."

Amir Aviv, Managing Partner at Gatewood Capital Partners, added, "By providing first opportunity capital to premiere emerging managers and warehousing compelling opportunities, we are not only supporting the fund managers, but seeking to enhance our ability to deliver superior returns for our investors," said Mr. Aviv. "This program allows us to access investments earlier and strengthen the overall alignment between fund managers, Gatewood, and our investors."

This initiative builds on Gatewood's track record of supporting differentiated investment strategies and high-performing teams. Since its founding, the firm has provided seed and anchor capital to a diverse range of managers across asset classes. The Co-Investment and Warehousing Program represents a natural extension of Gatewood's mission as a trusted partner for emerging managers.
