Crestline Investors names two partners

Opalesque Industry Update - Crestline Investors, Inc., a global alternative investment manager, announced the promotions of Will Palmer and Jesús Payán to Partners of the Firm.

"We're pleased to name Will and Jesús as Partners," said Doug Bratton, Founding Partner of Crestline. "Their hard work and dedication have played a critical role in helping Crestline tackle an ever-changing investment landscape. We look forward to their continued contributions to the Firm."

Palmer joined Crestline in 2015 as a member of Crestline's Opportunistic Strategies Group. He currently leads the Firm's efforts in Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) for its opportunistic and direct lending strategies, is a member of the opportunistic and direct lending Investment Committees, and will now join the Firm's Management Committee. Prior to Crestline, he was Vice President for the Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs and began his career as a financial analyst with Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin. Palmer graduated magna cum laude with a B.B.A. in finance and accounting from Texas Christian University.

Payán, who joined Crestline in 2006, heads Crestline's Legal and Compliance team and serves as the touchpoint for investor and counterparty relationships. In addition, he is a member of the Firm's Management Committee, sits on the Firm's reinsurance company Board of Directors, and is integrally involved in the structuring, legal diligence, and closing of investment opportunities. Prior to Crestline, Payán worked at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld L.L.P. as an Investment Fund/Corporate Attorney. Payán graduated from the University of Texas with a J.D., a B.A. in history and a B.A. in ethnic studies.
