Man Group's Robyn Grew joins the SBAI Board of Trustees

Monday, September 18, 2023
Opalesque Industry Update - Robyn Grew, Chief Executive Officer of Man Group, has been elected to the SBAI Board of Trustees.

Robyn Grew commented: "It's an honour to join the SBAI Board of Trustees and have an opportunity to work with such an extraordinary group of industry leaders. Man Group is one of the founding members of the SBAI and we are committed to continuing to play an active role in supporting its initiatives."

Mario Therrien, Chair of the SBAI, stated: "We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Robyn to our Board and look forward to engaging with her to further the mission of the SBAI to promote better standards and improve outcomes in the alternative investment industry. Her track record and impressive industry experience will benefit the SBAI and the Board."

He added: "Robyn Grew is replacing Luke Ellis, former Chief Executive Officer of Man Group, who retired earlier this month and has served on the SBAI Board of Trustees since 2016. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Luke for his immeasurable contribution to our mission and invaluable counsel over the years. His leadership has made an enormous impact on the Board and the SBAI, and we always will treasure this. We wish him well for his retirement".

Robyn was previously President of Man Group, based in the US. Since joining Man Group, via GLG, in 2010, Robyn has managed the solutions business, overseen trading and execution as well as acted as Group COO, Head of ESG and General Counsel. Before joining the firm in 2009, Robyn held senior positions at investment banks Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers as well as at LIFFE (now ICE Futures Europe). Robyn is a qualified barrister and has worked in the investment industry since 1994.

The SBAI is an active alliance of over 150 alternative asset managers and over 100 institutional investors dedicated to advancing responsible practice, partnership and knowledge. It advocates for an effective alternative investment ecosystem through robust standards and the exchange of ideas.
