Stouff Capital nears $100m AuM and appoints new head of business development

Thursday, September 14, 2023
Opalesque Industry Update - Geneva-based Stouff Capital announces a significant threshold in the company's growth trajectory, as it nears the $100m mark in assets under management (AuM).

Concurrently Stouff Capital, and its flagship Quantamental Global Equity Long/Short Fund, commemorate a noteworthy five-year milestone.

This achievement underscores the firm's established investment process, the fruit of 15 years of collaboration between Julien Stouff, Founder & CIO, and Gregory Chevalley, Co-founder and Head of Investment Technology.

Their approach combines quantitative methodology with traditional fundamental expertise while integrating technology, a structured process and trading and derivatives know-how. This combination has helped generate consistent returns for the strategy since its launch. As of the close of Q3 2023, the fund continues demonstrating solid year-to-date and annualized performance, bolstering investor confidence in its ability to navigate dynamic equity markets.

To drive further its strategic expansion, Stouff Capital nominated in July Aviv Merci as Managing Director, leading Business Development and Investor Relations. Aviv Merci brings extensive experience from prominent financial institutions, including Pictet and Sona Asset Management, bringing to Stouff Capital a wealth of experience in engaging institutional investors and allocators on a global scale. Most recently, he played a pivotal role in Sona AM's growth into a leading alternative investment firm as Head of Investor Relations.

"Our firm has entered an exciting phase of growth and opportunity," commented Julien Stouff. "Approaching the $100m AuM milestone paves the way for a new chapter, enabling the firm to welcome a diverse set of institutional investors. With Aviv Merci spearheading our marketing efforts, we look forward to leveraging his expertise in building enduring strategic partnerships and achieving our vision of becoming a major European player in the alternative investment landscape.»

Aviv Merci shared, "Our investment approach has led to remarkable results over the past five years, showcasing the team's commitment to value creation in all market conditions. This achievement paves the way for new horizons, and I look forward to helping Stouff Capital continue its growth trajectory. »
