QIM hires Shaun Jordan as new director of business development

Thursday, January 26, 2023
Opalesque Industry Update - Quantitative Investment Management (QIM) announced that Shaun Jordan, long-time QIM investor and seasoned investor relations and marketing professional, joined the firm as Director of Business Development on January 1, 2023.

In this role, Mr. Jordan, who is based in Austin, Texas, will work closely with John Coleman, Director of Investor Relations and Marketing, on marketing and fundraising efforts across the firm's three products: Tactical Aggressive, Global 3X and the firm's flagship Global Program.

"Shaun has been a close friend of the firm for many years, and we are excited to officially welcome him to our team of 35 talented professionals," said Jaffray Woodriff, QIM Co-Founder and CEO. "In addition to his strong professional track record, Shaun has been an investor in QIM since 2009, which means he deeply and uniquely understands our business, our products, and the focus we have on our people. I look forward to seeing what he will help us accomplish in 2023 and beyond."

"I have long admired what the team at QIM has built and I am thrilled to bring my many years of experience to the firm as it gears up to celebrate its 20th anniversary," added Mr. Jordan. "I am incredibly optimistic about what the future holds for QIM and look forward to contributing to the firm's continued success."

Mr. Jordan brings to QIM 20 years of capital raising experience in the global macro and CTA hedge fund space, most recently serving as Director of Business Development at Artemis Capital Management. Prior to joining Artemis, he directed capital raising efforts at e360 Power LLC for one year and, before that, at Abraham Trading Company for 13 years.

Mr. Jordan attended the University of Texas at Austin, during which time he served as captain of the Swimming & Diving Team, which won four consecutive NCAA National Championships. He graduated with a degree in Economics in 1991 and later returned to The University of Texas at Austin for his MBA, which he received in 1997. Mr. Jordan was a member of the 1988 and 1992 USA Olympic Swim Teams, where he won two Olympic Gold Medals in the 4X100 freestyle relay. He is a member of the Harry Ransom Center Advisory Council, the Austin Book Festival Board of Directors, and the Austin Bat Cave Board of Directors, and he is a University of Texas Athletic Department ambassador.
