BNY Mellon hires BBH's Tung

Opalesque Industry Update - Vivian Tung has joined BNY Mellon as Global Head of ETF Services from Brown Brothers Harriman. In this role, Tung will be responsible for managing all of the operational aspects of BNY Mellon's ETF business, with a particular focus on the innovation, design, and tech implementation of ETF products and the key processes regarding client onboarding and servicing. Vivian will report directly to Paul Vigilante, Head of Accounting & Investor Solutions at BNY Mellon.

Tung has over 20 years' experience in the financial services sector with a focus on fund accounting and securities lending. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Tung spent over 16 years at Brown Brothers Harriman where she held the position of Senior Vice President, U.S. ETF Product, since 2011. In this role, Tung oversaw the launch of products for new and existing ETF sponsors including new fund domiciles, structures, asset types and conversions, as well as successfully implementing the firm's global ETF technology platforms. Tung began her career as an accountant at State Street, before joining J.P. Morgan Chase as an Assistant Treasurer in 2001 and then as an Associate in Brown Brothers Harriman's Client Services Group in 2005. Vivian graduated from Babson College and is currently Head of the Boston Chapter for Women in ETFs.
