SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator measured 1.56% in October 2021

Friday, October 22, 2021
Opalesque Industry Update - SS&C Technologies Holdings announced that the SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator for October 2021 measured 1.56%, up from 2.45% in September.

"SS&C GlobeOp's Forward Redemption Indicator reached an all-time record low of 1.56% for October 2021, making it the lowest level of monthly redemptions in the history of the Forward Redemption Indicator, going back to its inception in 2008," said Bill Stone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, SS&C Technologies.

"On a year-over-year basis, the 1.56% compares very favorably to the 2.84% reported for October 2020 and marks the sixteenth consecutive month of year-over-year improvements. With well over a year of positive comparisons since the COVID-19 outbreak, the emerging data suggest redemptions may be moving to a lower secular trend line, a very good sign for continued hedge fund industry asset growth."

The SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator represents the sum of forward redemption notices received from investors in hedge funds administered by SS&C GlobeOp on the SS&C GlobeOp platform, divided by the AuA at the beginning of the month for SS&C GlobeOp fund administration clients on the SS&C GlobeOp platform. Forward redemptions as a percentage of SS&C GlobeOp's assets under administration on the SS&C GlobeOp platform have trended significantly lower since reaching a high of 19.27% in November 2008. The next publication date is November 16, 2021.
