Andy Mantel announces the launch of Ten Events Ventures

Friday, January 22, 2021
Opalesque Industry Update - Founder & CEO Andy Mantel announced the launch of Ten Events Ventures in Hong Kong. Ten Events Ventures is a family office-style firm that will focus on early to mid-stage private projects in sports, technology, lifestyle, entertainment and other consumer-related ventures in Asia/China/globally.

The company will also be an advisory/consultancy partner for those looking to enhance their business expansion opportunities to and from Asia/China. The firm will make use of its extensive network of resources and contacts, particularly in Asia/China, in order to add value for business expansion and growth capital opportunities.

Mr. Mantel has lived in Asia since 1990 and is Founder & CEO of Pacific Sun Advisors, an independent investment advisor focusing on alternative investments in Asia with a specific concentration in China. Based in Hong Kong with partner offices in Nanjing and Shenzhen, the firm manages capital for institutions, family offices, and high net worth clients globally.

Mr. Mantel is also Co-Founder of Qianhai Zhongji Chuangyuan Equity Investment Fund Management (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., a Shenzhen-based, wholly-owned subsidiary of Pacific Sun Advisors, and holder of a QFLP license that allows foreign investors access to RMB-denominated private equity investments in China.

Andy was appointed as a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board of Directors in early 2020. He was all-conference in the Decathlon at UC-Davis, played semi-professional basketball in Hong Kong, and has completed the New York, Amsterdam, Beijing Great Wall, and Melbourne marathons. He also completed the 100km Hong Kong MacLehose Trailwalker twice. An avid sports fan, he also excelled at dice baseball and flag football as a youth growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area.

"I look forward to compliment my fund management activities with new fun management endeavors. With the rise of Asia as a major global consumer and participant in the global economy, there are great opportunities for Ten Events Ventures," said Mr. Mantel.
