BNP Paribas adds to sustainable finance team

Opalesque Industry Update - Christina Cho and Anne van Riel will act as Co-Heads for Sustainable Finance Capital Markets Americas at BNP Paribas.

Christina has been with the bank in London for over 12 years, where she was a senior DCM banker in the SSA team. Anne joins BNP Paribas after 11 years at ING, where she served as the Head of Sustainable Finance for the past two years. Both Anne and Christina will be based in New York.

Christina and Anne will report directly to Dan Cozine, Deputy Head of Global Credit Markets Americas at BNP Paribas. The team will be fully aligned with its market-leading Sustainable Finance teams in Europe and APAC, globally coordinated by Delphine Queniart, Global Head of Sustainable Finance & Solutions for Global Markets, and work in close collaboration with Hervé Duteil, Chief Sustainability Officer, Americas.

The new appointments strengthen BNP Paribas' sustainable finance efforts globally. BNP Paribas has been mandated/placed on $71.3bn eq. of sustainable bond transactions ($14.6*bn eq. on an apportioned basis) for clients across the SSA, FIG and Corporate sectors.
