Roundtable Capital and Barometer Capital to merge

Thursday, February 27, 2020
Opalesque Industry Update - Canadian asset managers Roundtable Capital Partners Inc. and Barometer Capital Management Inc. are to merge.

The combined entity will operate as Barometer Capital Management Inc. with total assets of approximately $1.5 billion, including domestic and international clientele. The merger is expected to close on April 30, pending regulatory approval from the Ontario Securities Commission.

Barometer has an experienced and successful portfolio team, led by its principals, Chairman Greg Guichon and Chief Strategist David Burrows. They work closely with a strong portfolio management team and offer a diverse platform of equity, income and balanced mandates by way of investment pools and separately managed accounts. The firm's flagship strategy is the Tactical Income Mandate with a 19-year composite track record and boasts a compound annual growth rate of 11% since inception.

The combination of the two companies will provide broad and diversified portfolio solutions to further fulfill the needs of our clients. Roundtable is excited by the opportunity to partner with the Barometer team and we look forward to introducing our clients to the newly combined firm once the merger is completed.
