Madison Capital expands healthcare team

Opalesque Industry Update - Madison Capital Funding a subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company, today announced that Eric Hartung has joined the firm as a Managing Director within the Healthcare Group as part of the Specialty Originations team. Based in Chicago, Mr. Hartung is responsible for originating and executing new investment opportunities from private equity sponsors with a focus on the healthcare industry. He reports to Bill Kindorf, Managing Director, Head of Specialty Originations team.

Mr. Kindorf said: "We are pleased to welcome Eric to the Madison Capital team. He brings extensive industry knowledge and a deep set of sponsor relationships which will further enhance our Healthcare team's continued growth and penetration in the market."

Mr. Hartung added: "It's an honor to join Madison Capital and contribute to its growing healthcare business. I look forward to working with our private equity clients to provide them with the suite of financing solutions they need to grow their portfolio companies."

Prior to joining Madison, Mr. Hartung was a Managing Director at Capital One where he originated private equity sponsored loans for the Healthcare Financial Services group and covered 50 middle-market private equity sponsors in the Midwest and eastern United States. He was also a Managing Director, Sponsor Finance and Healthcare at GE Capital where he covered private equity sponsors in the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Hartung was also a Manager of Transaction Services at PWC. Mr. Hartung holds a Bachelor's in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as an MBA in Finance and Economics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
