CreativeCap Advisors appoints Richard Heller to international mentor network

Opalesque Industry Update, for New Managers - CreativeCap Advisors - the premier global asset management consulting firm - has announced the addition of Richard S. Heller, Partner at Thompson Hine LLP, as one of the mentors for the firm's Global Emerging Manager Incubator.

Heller joins the global mentor network having extensive experience working with fund managers helping them to structure their funds and advising them on best practices in building a quality fund business.

Richard Heller is a partner in Thompson Hine's Corporate Transactions & Securities and Investment Management practices and the Family Office Services group. Richard primarily concentrates his focus on securities matters. Throughout his career, Richard has counseled public and private financial services companies and their directors, family offices, investment advisers and broker-dealers, hedge funds, private equity funds and offshore funds.

"I look forward to volunteering my time as a mentor. I have been involved with many managers on issues ranging from legal concerns to practical considerations on how to run a business. I am pleased to help in any way that I can," said Richard S. Heller, Partner at Thompson Hine LLP.

Outside of his law practice, Richard served three consecutive terms on the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Business Forum on Small Capital Formation. The forum has published recommendations to the White House.

He is also a Board Director of The Hedge Fund Association. Recognized as a legal authority in his area, Richard is frequently called upon to participate in prominent Family Office and Investment Management conferences, including SALT Las Vegas.

The Emerging Manager Incubator Program was created with the goal to help accelerate the growth of emerging managers by utilizing an interdisciplinary approach that focuses on four critical areas: marketing, investor relations, business development and business management.

The selective program seeks to become the single largest and most intensive program for emerging managers from around the world ever created. The deadline to apply to the Global Emerging Manager Incubator has been extended to August 31, 2018.
