New Jersey's Rosenstock heads to Man FRM

Wednesday, June 27, 2018
Opalesque Industry Update - Man FRM, Man Group's alternative investment specialist, today announces the appointment of Samantha Rosenstock as Sector Head of Relative Value and Private Markets. She will be based in New York and report to Jens Foehrenbach, Chief Investment Officer at Man FRM.

Samantha has 20 years of experience in the alternative asset management industry, and prior to joining Man FRM was Head of Alternative Investment at the State of New Jersey. In her role at the public pension fund, she helped manage a portfolio of global hedge funds, private equity, private credit, real estate and real asset investments. Prior to this, Samantha was a Director in the Advisory Group at Société Générale and previously held senior hedge fund research roles at PineBridge Investments (formerly AIG Asset Management) and Ivy Asset Management. She began her career as a model developer and trader at R.G. Niederhoffer Capital Management.

Jens Foehrenbach, CIO of Man FRM, said:

"We are thrilled to welcome Samantha Rosenstock to Man FRM. Sam will be very additive to our team and instrumental in the ongoing development of our private markets offering in particular, given the relevance of her background and allocation experience. She brings valuable knowledge not only in hedge fund and quantitative investment strategies, but across the liquidity spectrum in private equity, private credit and real asset investments."

Samantha Rosenstock, Sector Head of Relative Value and Private Markets, said:

"Man FRM has built an impressive investment suite based on strong strategic partnerships with clients. This is enhanced by Man Group's shared infrastructure and quantitative expertise and technology, and I have been continually impressed by the organisation and the dedication of its people. I look forward to helping Man FRM further develop its private markets capability to meet the growing institutional investor demand for customised portfolios which can incorporate both liquid and illiquid alternative investment strategies."
