Crayhill Capital Management brings on Khan, expands structured credit platform

Monday, October 16, 2017
Opalesque Industry Update - Crayhill Capital Management, an alternative asset management firm focused on private structured credit, announced today the appointment of Shamafa Khan as a Managing Director and Head of Investor Relations and Marketing.

At Crayhill, Ms. Khan will leverage her previous experience in capital raising and client relationships to help serve the firm's investors. Specifically, she will be leading the marketing and sales efforts of Crayhill's private asset-based lending and credit opportunity funds.

"Private credit funds continue to gain attention from investors seeking stable current-yield returns. Shamafa's recent experience within the sector will help us to highlight our differentiated approach and better serve our limited partners," said Josh Eaton, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Crayhill.

"Shamafa will be instrumental in bolstering our efforts to expand Crayhill's leadership in the private structured credit space. Her keen understanding of our investment approach and the risk/reward balance we aim to achieve for our investors makes her well suited to represent the firm and communicate our value proposition," added Carlos Mendez, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Crayhill.

Ms. Khan brings over 13 years of alternative investment expertise to Crayhill. She most recently worked as a Director in the Global Business Development Group of Barings, LLC (formerly Babson Capital), where she was responsible for capital raising and client relationships for a suite of fixed income strategies. Previously, she served as an Associate Director in UBS's Capital Introduction Group, where she advised hedge fund clients and institutional investors on capital raising and investment efforts. Ms. Khan is a graduate of Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research and a minor in Economics.
