SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index up 0.04% in June, Capital Movement Index declines 1.80% in July

Friday, July 14, 2017
Opalesque Industry Update - The gross return of the SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index for June 2017 measured 0.04% (3.50% YTD) (chart).

Hedge fund flows as measured by the SS&C GlobeOp Capital Movement Index declined 1.80% in July (chart).

"SS&C GlobeOp's Capital Movement Index for July 2017 was -1.80%, compared to -2.53% a year ago for July 2016.  The month of July typically sees a net outflow owing to seasonal factors, so this smaller net outflow is actually a very positive result," said Bill Stone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, SS&C Technologies. "In fact, July 2017 marks the sixth consecutive month of improvement in the Capital Movement Index, indicating the trend toward increased asset retention by hedge funds remains firmly intact."

The SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index is an asset-weighted, independent monthly window on hedge fund performance.

The SS&C GlobeOp Capital Movement Index represents the monthly net of hedge fund subscriptions and redemptions administered by SS&C GlobeOp on the SS&C GlobeOp platform.
