Macro Funds Lead Industry Performance

Rokos Capital Management, founded by Chris Rokos, gained 3.8% in October, bringing year-to-date performance to approximately 21%. The firm, which manages over USD 22 billion, plans to cap new inflows by returning capital to investors to maintain performance quality.

Marshall Wace's Market Neutral Tops fund gained about 1.15% in October, extending year-to-date returns to roughly 14.96%. The result demonstrates how diversified market-neutral approaches have cushioned earnings-season swings that impacted directional equity books. Meanwhile, equity stock pickers returned approximately 1.75% in October, trailing the S&P 500's 2.3% rise but maintaining year-to-date returns of more than 13%.
