Matthias Knab, Opalesque:

Prime Capital AG, the Frankfurt-based independent asset manager and financial services provider, has appointed Markus Schuwerack as Head of Business Development, effective 20 October 2026.

Business Development at Prime Capital brings together the firm's sales and client management activities. In his new role, Schuwerack will be responsible for developing the firm's sales strategy, expanding its institutional client business and, together with the investment teams, identifying new business opportunities.

Schuwerack has more than 25 years of experience in the finance and asset management industry. Most recently, he was Managing Director and Country Head of Sales Germany & Austria at Sienna Investment Managers. Before that, he held several senior positions at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, including Co-Head of Sales for Germany & Austria. "With Markus Schuwerack, we are gaining a highly experienced and well-connected specialist for our business development. His many years of experience in institutional sales and in serving a range of investor groups will provide important momentum for the further development of our business and our client relationships. We are very pleased to have won him for Prime Capital," said Andreas Kalusche, CEO (Vorstandsvorsitzender) of Prime Capital AG.
