Matthias Knab, Opalesque:

Managed Funds Association (MFA) has announced its Board of Directors for the 2026-2027 term. The board's tenure began on 1 October 2026.

Mark Sullivan, Head of Hedge Fund Group at Wellington Management, will serve as Chair. Sullivan previously served as Vice Chair, and he succeeds Jody Gunderson, Managing Principal of AB CarVal. Sona Gohel, Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Davidson Kempner Capital Management, was elected Vice Chair.

"Jody leaves MFA a stronger and more influential organization," said Bryan Corbett, MFA President and CEO. "Mark and Sona step into these roles as policymakers rethink the rules governing our markets. Under their leadership, MFA will continue its work to advance policies that enable alternative asset managers to raise capital, invest, and deliver returns for their beneficiaries, including pensions, foundations, and endowments."

"I am honored to serve as Chair of MFA's Board," said Sullivan. "MFA brings together leaders from across our industry to speak with a unified voice. I look forward to working with Sona, Bryan, and the Board to build consensus across our membership and ensure MFA continues to influence the debates shaping the future of alternative asset management."
