Stoneshield Capital to join forces with Franklin Templeton and Clarion Partners

Franklin Templeton's Clarion Partners has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Stoneshield Capital, a European real assets manager with $9 billion under management focused on living, digital infrastructure, science, hospitality and critical infrastructure sectors.

The deal will triple Clarion's European AUM to $13 billion and lift Clarion's total AUM 12% to $82 billion. Stoneshield becomes Clarion's dedicated European opportunistic platform, with co-founders Juan Pepa and Felipe Morens continuing to lead it, retaining their strategy, team and culture while gaining access to Clarion and Franklin Templeton's global platform. The deal, advised by Goldman Sachs for Stoneshield, is expected to close in Q4 2026. Source
