SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator ticks up to 1.64% in August, stays below five-year average

SS&C Technologies Holdings (Nasdaq: SSNC) has reported that the SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator for August 2026 measured 1.64%, up from 1.35% in July. Despite the month-on-month rise, the reading remained well below the five-year average of 2.37%.

"Energy security concerns from ongoing conflicts, the unwinding of tariffs, fiscal challenges, and changes in rate policy continue to drive markets," said Bill Stone, Chairman and CEO of SS&C Technologies. He added that even against this backdrop, subdued redemptions suggest hedge funds are still delivering the diversification and downside protection investors look for when navigating volatile conditions.

The Forward Redemption Indicator represents the sum of forward redemption notices received from investors in hedge funds administered by SS&C GlobeOp, divided by assets under administration at the start of the month. Because redemption notifications typically arrive 30 to 90 days ahead of the redemption date, the measure offers an early read on the redemption pipeline and on investor sentiment toward hedge fund allocations. Investors can, and sometimes do, cancel notices before they take effect.
