China's quant managers put their own money on the line: 25 private funds commit RMB 1.4bn in July

Beijing-based quantitative manager Ningbo Alpha2Fund Investment Management Partnership Enterprise (Alpha2Fund) has announced it will commit RMB 100 million (approximately $14 million) of its own capital to its private securities fund products, joining a broad wave of proprietary buying that has swept China's private fund industry since the start of July.

The firm said the decision was based on confidence in the long-term development of China's capital market, and framed the commitment as a pledge to "share both risks and returns" alongside its investors.

A RMB 55bn quant house with Golden Bull credentials

Founded in August 2015 and registered with the Asset Management Association of China (AMAC), Alpha2Fund is headquartered in Beijing and describes its core values as "Research-Driven, Excellence-Oriented." The firm applies big data and algorithmic techniques to identify market patterns and build quantitative models intended to perform across market cycles.

As of July 2026, Alpha2Fund managed assets in excess of RMB 55 billion and has collected multiple Golden Bull Awards, one of the more visible accolades in China's domestic private fund industry.
