Monday, May 25, 2026

Matthias Knab, Opalesque for New Managers:

SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSNC) announced on May 21, 2026 that the SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator for May 2026 measured 1.56%, up from 1.26% in April but well below the 2.34% reading for May 2025.

"SS&C GlobeOp's Forward Redemption Indicator for May 2026 measured at 1.56%. In comparison, the figure was 2.34% a year ago, marking the fifth consecutive month of 2026 to post a five-year low for hedge fund redemptions," said Bill Stone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SS&C Technologies. "Hedge fund asset retention remains strong as investors navigate uncertainties related to geopolitical tensions, higher inflation, stretched equity valuations, and market volatility."

2026 series in context

The May 2026 reading is the fifth print in a sustained low-redemption sequence:

- January 2026: 1.46% (then a five-year low) - February 2026: 1.79% - March 2026: 1.90% - April 2026: 1.26% (current all-time low for the series) - May 2026: 1.56%

By comparison, the May 2025 reading was 2.34%, and the all-time high remains 19.27%, recorded in November 2008. The 12-month high in the series sits at 2.43% in November 2025.
