Matthias Knab, Opalesque for New Managers: Milwaukee-based Significance Capital Management LLC has launched as a registered investment adviser, introducing an investment approach built around identifying market turning points through a combination of fundamental, quantitative, and technical analysis.
The firm is led by Founder and Chief Investment Officer Ryan Isherwood, CFA, CMT, and Co-Portfolio Manager Michael W. Klenn, CFA, CMT. The two previously worked together for more than a decade building momentum-driven investment strategies at Timpani Capital Management and later Calamos Investments.
Momentum, Mean Reversion, and the Turning Point Between Them
Significance Capital's investment process centers on identifying asymmetric opportunities across equity and other asset classes by analyzing the interaction between momentum and mean reversion - two forces the firm sees as the primary drivers of market cycles. Isherwood developed the underlying philosophy over more than two decades managing growth-oriented strategies.
