Delbrook Capital ends 2025 up +151.0% on the heels of a big year for metals

Metals and mining fund - Delbrook Resource Opportunities - from Delbrook Capital had a banner year in 2025. According to performance information reviewed by Opalesque, the Delbrook Resource Opportunities Master Fund LP generated a net return of +20.4% during the fourth quarter of 2025, resulting in full-year performance of +151.0%.

Delbrook Resource Opportunities is an equity long/short investment strategy focused exclusively on the metals and mining sector. The fund invests primarily in publicly listed companies that are focused on precious, base, energy, and industrial metals production and exploration.

Delbrook is led by portfolio manager Matthew Zabloski. Prior to launching Delbrook, Zabloski developed his commodities expertise in roles at Fidelity and CI Cambridge. The Resource Opportunities Fund grew out of that work as Zabloski recognized that the metals and mining sectors lent themselves to long/short trading. The actively managed strategy stands out in an area of the market that is dominated by long-only funds and private equity.

In a recent letter to investors, Delbrook said 2025 marked a change in the materials sector. Large institutional managers are coming back and previous trade alliances are breaking down.
