PERFORMANCE: Macro Funds and Industry Close Strong Year

Bridgewater Associates' flagship Pure Alpha fund gained 33% in 2025, marking one of its strongest years in more than a decade. The performance was driven by macro trades across rates, currencies, and commodities amid heightened global volatility. Following this blowout year, Opalesque noted that Bridgewater is widening employee equity participation, a move designed to improve retention and align incentives amid intense competition for talent.

Eagle's View Capital Partners, the New York-based fund of funds managed by industry veteran Neal Berger, posted an estimated +0.69% return in November 2025, bringing year-to-date performance to approximately +16.35% net of all fees and expenses. The performance significantly outpaces the HFRI Fund of Funds Composite Index. Since its June 2010 inception, Eagle's View has generated a 7.80% annualized return with a cumulative gain of 220.47%, compared to the HFRI FOF Composite Index's 4.14% annualized return and 86.90% cumulative performance. The fund has achieved this with relatively low volatility of 4.93% annualized and a Sharpe ratio of 1.26, while maintaining a near-zero beta to the S&P 5......................
