Apex's AI WealthTech aims to "retailize" Private Markets

Apex Group unveiled an AI-driven WealthTech platform designed to let wealth managers, private banks and distributors package private equity, private credit and other alternative strategies for a broader retail audience. The platform digitizes onboarding/KYC, matches investors to curated deals, integrates APIs for straight-through processing, and leans on tokenization to improve transparency and secondary-liquidity options, all on top of Apex's global custody footprint.

Why this launch matters now

Regulatory tailwinds (EU): ELTIF 2.0 took effect in January 2024 and subsequent RTS clarified redemption, liquidity tools and cost disclosures - explicitly making cross-border retail distribution simpler for long-term, less-liquid strategies. For managers, that means a clearer path to semi-liquid and retail-ready vehicles across the bloc.

Vehicle innovation (US & EU): Interval and tender-offer funds continue to scale as on-ramps to private credit, secondaries and real assets; Morningstar data show a brisk 2025 launch cadence and rising net flows into these structures. Registered-fund frameworks are also gaining regulatory attention as a practical route for retail access.
