Laxman Pai, Opalesque Asia: Swedish global investment organization EQT AB is launching a new strategy for private wealth clients to access its infrastructure investments, broadening its investor base when the industry is plowing into retail markets.
"With institutional and individual investors looking to evergreen strategies for diversification and customization, EQT broadens portfolio with the introduction of EQT Nexus Infrastructure," said a press statement from the private equity firm.
EQT Nexus Infrastructure, the firm's latest semi-liquid fund, will give both individual and institutional investors access to a variety of infrastructure investment strategies, it added.
As one of the world's largest infrastructure investors, EQT ranks fifth on the Infrastructure Investor 100 list based on capital raised over the past five years. The firm's infrastructure platform, which manages approximately EUR 75 billion in assets, operates across three dedicated strategies: Value-Add Infrastructure, Active Core Infrastructure, and Transition Infrastructure.
As per the release, the new strategy is designed to identify and develop high-quality infrastructure businesses that provide essential services to society. It will focus on investments across key sectors, including digital infrastructure, energy and environmental solutions, transport and logistics, and social infrastructure.
