Laxman Pai, Opalesque Asia: Quantum Capital Group, the private capital provider to the global energy and energy transition industry, has rounded up more than $10 billion for funds and co-investments in the energy sector across multiple investment strategies.
The fossil-fuel investor said in a press release that, the latest haul includes $5.25 billion for its flagship private equity fund Quantum Energy Partners VIII, $2.8 billion for its structured capital fund Quantum Capital Solutions II, and approximately $2 billion for other associated funds on the Quantum platform.
As per the release, Quantum's latest fundraising cycle received broad institutional support from a diverse, global group of existing and new investors.
"With a flexible mandate to invest where needed in the capital structure, Quantum invests across the entire energy value chain, including in oil and gas, midstream, thermal and renewable power generation, energy infrastructure, and the energy transition," it said.
