Manulife IM closes second fund of funds in partnership with AlpInvest

Bailey McCann, Opalesque New York:

Manulife Investment Management has closed Manulife Private Equity Partners II with $810 million in commitments. This is the second fund of funds that Manulife IM is doing in partnership with AlpInvest.

The fund of funds was seeded with an existing portfolio created with AlpInvest and consists of private equity fund interests and co-investments in North American buyout funds with more than 30 leading private equity managers.

Management of the Fund will be led by Richard Tarr, Managing Director, Private Equity Funds, at Manulife Investment Management.
