Bowmoor caps off a strong debut with double digit returns

London-based Bowmoor Capital is closing out the first year for its new Guernsey fund with a bang.

Following strong performance in November, the Bowmoor Capital Global Alpha fund is up +26.24% year to date through November 30.

Opalesque New Managers first reported on Bowmoor's launch in June. The strategy caught the attention of investors and in October, Bowmoor partnered with $4.2 billion Zeta Asset Management to open the Global Alpha fund to external investors.

Bowmoor's goal is to double its capital every three to five years and the firm publishes rolling three and five year returns as it grows. Through the end of November, the three year rolling return was +108.00% and the rolling five year return was +243.09%.

To support those efforts the firm has also made a number of new hires this year expanding its distribution and investor relations teams.

Bowmoor is led by Richard Liddle, a former British military officer who served with the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force as a helicopter and fast jet pilot. Following his military career, Liddle worked as an entrepreneur and was part of the Barclays Military Fund Management Scheme.
