Niche Asset Management launches UCITS focused on Indonesian small-caps

Niche Asset Management, a London-based deep-value manager, has launched a third project within the platform Niche Jungle ICAV. Niche Jungle Projects are investment vehicles providing investors with exposure to equity market niches not covered by the asset management industry.

This third project, the NJ Indonesian Infrastructure Small Caps SDG, is a vehicle that offers pure, deep value, and diversified exposure to Indonesian small caps.

Indonesia is the seventh largest economy in the world in terms of GDP (and the 16th largest by nominal GDP) and has its fourth largest population, the asset manager says. Its territory is huge, fertile and rich in commodities. The weather and thousands of pristine beaches make it ideal for tourism. By emerging market standards, both the institutional framework and corporate governance are good. The Central Bank is independent, public debt is low, inflation is under control and economic growth is healthy. The country has also embarked on a massive infrastructure plan.
