Man Group: Geopolitics is more important to investors now

"We are seeing a significant change in the environment in which we're operating," Man Group's CEO Robyn Grew recently said in a interview with Swiss bank UBS. Over the last 10 years, she continued, one could simply hold one to one's assets, risk-adjusted or not. It won't be so simple in the next 10 years. Family offices and sophisticated investors are now rethinking their risk portfolio.

Robyn Grew became the first woman CEO of Man Group in September - and is one of the most powerful women in the hedge fund industry. Trained as a criminal barrister at Coventry University, she made a move into finance in 1994 and worked at Lehman Brothers, Barclays and LIFFE. She joined Man in 2009 and has spent the last decade helping to build the future of the firm with her colleagues in a collaborative fashion, unlike the top-down heavy style in the industry, reported PIonline.
