Laxman Pai, Opalesque Asia: Adams Street Partners has raised $820m for the final close of its 2023 Global Fund Program, down on the $1.1bn it gathered for the strategy last year.
The Global Fund Program is a private markets portfolio designed to provide comprehensive exposure by spanning all of Adams Street's investment strategies, including primaries, secondaries, co-investments, growth equity, and private credit, across North America, Europe, and Asia, said a media note from the private markets investment firm with more than $58 billion in assets under management.
"We believe this demand has been driven by a time-tested approach to portfolio construction as well as a continued focus on growth sectors rather than levered beta strategies," said the release.
The 2023 Global Fund saw strong representation from both new and returning investors, it added. Adams Street clients include a broad set of public, corporate, and Taft-Hartley pension plans, along with high-net-worth individuals, insurance companies, foundations, and endowments.
