Wellington and iCapital seal a global alliance to bring private funds to wealth managers

Wellington Management, the storied firm with $1.2 trillion in assets, is giving its alternative investments business a global boost by partnering with iCapital, a platform financial advisors use to invest in private equity, hedge funds, and other strategies.

The asset manager currently runs $32bn across hedge funds and private equity strategies.

According to a joint media release, iCapital, the global fintech platform driving access to alternative investments for the wealth management industry will leverage its cutting-edge technology to facilitate the distribution of Wellington's comprehensive range of alternative investment capabilities to wealth management professionals worldwide.

"The partnership reflects Wellington's strategic commitment to expanding its alternative investments platform, particularly within the wealth management channel," it said.

Marco Bizzozero, Head of International at iCapital said: "By combining iCapital's technology-driven platform with Wellington's industry-leading asset management capabilities, we aim to deliver a seamless and comprehensive solution for Wealth Managers looking to incorporate alternative investments into their client portfolios."

The partnership will have a global reach, covering key markets in Asia, EMEA, North America, and Latin America. This expansive footprint will enable Wealth Managers in these regions to access Wellington's alternative offerings through iCapital's platfo......................
