Laxman Pai, Opalesque Asia: Global private markets investment Northleaf Capital Partners has raised $1.3bn for its third flagship secondaries fund.
The Canadian private markets investment firm said in a press release that with the support of both new and returning investors, the Fund surpassed its target and is more than 60% larger than its predecessor fund.
Over the past two years, investors have committed a total of US$2 billion across Northleaf's secondaries platform, said the Toronto-based private equity investor.
According to the release, Northleaf's secondaries platform seeks to provide investors with access to a diversified portfolio of private equity investments in LP-led and GP-led secondary transactions alongside leading mid-market sponsors. In addition to NSP III, investors access secondary investments through Northleaf's global private equity funds and institutional custom mandates.
