Former partners join again and launch global macro and digital asset hedge fund

Two former partners are launching a global macro and digital assets hedge fund.

London-based Balliol Road Investments LLP was founded in June 2019 by Vassilis Paschopoulos and Nikolaos Kargadouris. The partners both worked at Lehman's and Deutsche Bank before founding their first venture, Balliol Capital LLP in 2013, where they ran a relative value credit fund. They parted ways a couple of years later, Paschopoulos to work at Numen Capital, Kargadouris at Cheyne Capital.

"This is a completely new company and launch, not a re-launch of Balliol Capital," Kargadouris tells Opalesque. The co-CIOS are now advising funds under the Sturgeon Ventures umbrella.

"We have been invested in the digital assets space for some years on a personal level and we have been running a digital assets related sub-strategy for our macro hedge fund since October 2020," he adds.

The partners have just launched their second hedge fund, BRI Digital Assets Fund, which is focused exclusively on digital assets and aimed at professional investors.

The fund seeks to extract the value proposition of the next generation of champions through a net long exposure portfolio of 10-2......................
