AltsAxis launches with a mobile cap-intro platform and live events

AltsAxis a new alternatives due diligence platform launched this week. The platform aims to be a centralized location for fund managers and allocators to connect. All alternative asset classes will be represented on the platform.

Alts Axis is led by Mark Salameh, Co-Founder and former CEO of Context Summits, who says the goal is to provide a platform where family offices and institutional allocators can find unconflicted, real-time data on alternative asset managers.

"This is something I have been migrating to over my career," Salameh tells Opalesque. "The information within alternatives is still really fragmented and so we want to bring it together within a single location and make it accessible from your phone - if that's how you want to do it. We're really trying to make the allocation process easier and more modern."

AltsAxis consists of three parts - the data platform, a proprietary social network, and forthcoming in-person events.

The platform includes data modeling and visualization features that enable allocators to conduct due diligence, create model portfolios, and make investment decisions. For managers, in addition to having their strategies represented on the platform, they can communicate with current and prospective investors, and receive investor and peer feedback.
