Laxman Pai, Opalesque Asia: London based quantitative investment specialist Bainbridge Partners is readying the launch of a multi-strategy, global, equity market neutral investment fund following approval by the CSSF in Luxembourg.
A press release from the alternative investments firm established in 2002 said that Bainbridge Equity Market Neutral (BEMN) provides investors with exposure to short and medium-term systematic equity strategies, implemented using a highly diversified, global (Europe, US and Asia), long/short portfolio of over 1,000 securities.
It is designed to achieve a low correlation to equity markets over the long-term, targeting an absolute net return of 6% - 10% with a volatility of 6%, it said.
According to the release, Bainbridge Equity Market Neutral (BEMN) will be a sub-fund of a Luxembourg UCITS compliant SICAV, and will exist in various currency share classes, all available for subscriptions once regulatory filings have been completed.
The sub-fund will have weekly liquidity with 2 business days' notice for subscriptions and redemptions.
