Bainbridge Partners launches quant-driven, equity market neutral UCITS fund

London based quantitative investment specialist Bainbridge Partners is readying the launch of a multi-strategy, global, equity market neutral investment fund following approval by the CSSF in Luxembourg.

A press release from the alternative investments firm established in 2002 said that Bainbridge Equity Market Neutral (BEMN) provides investors with exposure to short and medium-term systematic equity strategies, implemented using a highly diversified, global (Europe, US and Asia), long/short portfolio of over 1,000 securities.

It is designed to achieve a low correlation to equity markets over the long-term, targeting an absolute net return of 6% - 10% with a volatility of 6%, it said.

According to the release, Bainbridge Equity Market Neutral (BEMN) will be a sub-fund of a Luxembourg UCITS compliant SICAV, and will exist in various currency share classes, all available for subscriptions once regulatory filings have been completed.

The sub-fund will have weekly liquidity with 2 business days' notice for subscriptions and redemptions.

The release quoted Antoine Haddad, Managing Partner of Bainbridge, as saying: "We combine over a dozen quantitative strategies, and we use a large number of metrics and methodologies in the implementation of each of those strategies. Our design of those systematic alphas is supported by several years of research, and our deep practitioner's experience in model design and trading infrastructure ......................
