Former Goldman Sachs executive Konstantinos Pantazopoulos to join Moore Capital

A former Goldman Sachs global head of rates trading Konstantinos Pantazopoulos has joined the hedge fund Moore Capital Management.

A press release from the global investment management firm said that Pantazopoulos will join the firm in London as a managing director in January 2019. He will work closely with Louis Bacon on the firm's global macro program.

Pantazopoulos comes to Moore Capital after spending over 20 years at the Wall Street bank, where he was a partner and, for many years, global head of rates trading. Most recently, he served as head of risk management strategies for Goldman Sachs' securities division.

Louis Bacon, Moore Capital's founder, chief executive officer and chairman said: "Over the past two decades, Pantazopoulos' sound risk strategy, insightful approach to evaluating the macro environment, and exceptional ability to generate profits -- even under adverse market conditions -- earned the trust and respect of his clients, including myself, and his colleagues."

"At Moore Capital, his deep experience and trading expertise across macro markets will bring a new perspective that will enhance the firm's investment processes and idea generation for the benefit of our investors," he added.

Pantazopoulos said: "I look forward to collaborating with Louis and the Moore Capital team to advance the firm's investment objectives."
