Artivest appoints first post-merger general counsel and chief compliance officer

Laxman Pai, Opalesque Asia:

Alternative investment technology firm Artivest has hired 25-year industry veteran Kamal Jafarnia as general counsel and chief compliance officer.

Jafarnia brings more than 25 years of experience as an attorney and compliance professional to this role, having advised public and private companies - including alternative investment program sponsors - on complex securities offerings, regulatory and compliance issues, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance, said a statement from provider of premier alternative funds and technology solutions.

Jafarnia plans to allocate his time between Artivest's New York and San Diego headquart......................
