Musk settles with SEC following tweets

Following a Twitter episode that may go down as one of the most expensive to date, Elon Musk has agreed to settle with the SEC for $20 million and will step down as chairman of Tesla for at least three years. Musk will still be involved with Tesla, and arguably could have gotten a better deal had he agreed to settle last Thursday when the SEC offered, but Musk's decision does avoid trial. Tesla the company will also have to pay a $20 million fine

Musk will still be Tesla's CEO.
