Hedge funds extend rebound with another positive year

Hedge funds ended 2017 broadly positive, according to the latest performance report from eVestment. Aggregate returns for the year came in at +8.83% and builds on the performance rebound that started in 2016 when hedge funds returned 5.7% for the year.

Overall, over 80% of funds were able to produce positive results, and of those with gains for the year, returns averaged into double digits, nearly 14%.

Hedge funds focused on India and China were the strongest overall performers in the industry in 2017. India-focused fun......................
