Hedge fund L1 Capital acquires more than 10% of New Zealand telco

Global investment manager L1 Capital, a hedge fund firm based in Melbourne with offices in New York and London, has acquired more than 10% in Chorus, the largest telecommunications company in New Zealand.

The New Zealand Crown has given its approval of the acquisition. But in respect of certain funds, the court has limited L1 Capital to acquire a relevant interest in Chorus to not more than 15% of the company's shares, reported the ......................
