eVestment: Hedge funds post 11th consecutive month of gains

Hedge funds were up 0.67 percent in September, the eleventh consecutive month of gains, according to eVestment's Hedge Fund Industry Performance Report. Overall, over 75 percent of the industry is in the positive for 2017, with average gains being over 10 percent.

Interestingly, however, the largest funds, including the ten largest, are dragging the rest down, posting the lowest returns in September and YTD. Contributing to this lag is the fact that fewer than 20 percent of the managed......................
