Neuberger's Dyal takes a stake in TPG Special Situations Partners

Dyal Capital Partners, an investment arm of Neuberger Berman that takes minority ownership stakes in hedge funds and private equity firms, has taken a stake in TPG Special Situations Partners (TSSP). TSSP is the credit investing unit of private equity firm TPG.

Dyal is taking a ten percent stake in TSSP which is valued at $3.5 billion, according to people familiar with the transaction. In a statement, TSSP said it plans to use the proceeds from the sale to add staff and expand its investment platform.
